Nature of Service
Good360 (“Good360”,
“we”, “us”, or “our”) is the
leading charity in the field of product philanthropy, helping companies donate
products efficiently and effectively to 200,000 charities and schools worldwide
each year. This “Site” (good360.org)
provides information on Good360 services as well as other material of interest
to charitable organizations and a listing of donation and charity partners
(collectively, “Services”). This
Site also provides information on and registration forms for contributing or
applying to receive a donated product.
We know you are concerned about your privacy, so we
developed this privacy policy (“Privacy
Policy”) to explain how we collect, use, and disclose information from
and/or about you.
By registering with the Site and/or using the Services, you are
consenting to our collection, use and disclosure practices described in this
Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy
describes our practices for both a “Visitor”
(which means that you simply browse the Site) and a “Member”, which means that you have established an account on the
Site (your “Account”). We may refer
to a Member or a Visitor as “you”.
So we are clear about the terminology we are using, when
we use the phrase “Personal Information”
in this Privacy Policy, we mean contact information (e.g., name, address, email
address, or telephone number) and any other non-public information that is used
or intended to be used to personally identify an individual or organization.
When we use the phrase “Anonymous
Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean information that is neither
used nor intended to be used to personally identify an individual or
organization.
YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE PROCESSED BY US IN THE
COUNTRY WHERE IT WAS COLLECTED AS WELL AS OTHER COUNTRIES (INCLUDING THE UNITED
STATES) WHERE LAWS REGARDING PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE LESS
STRINGENT THAN THE LAWS IN YOUR COUNTRY.
BY USING THIS SITE AND PROVIDING ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, YOU ARE
CONSENTING TO THE TRANSFER OF DATA FROM YOUR COUNTRY TO A COUNTRY THAT HAS LESS
STRINGENT LAWS, AND THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN CONFORMANCE
WITH THIS POLICY.

Good360 has been awarded TRUSTe's
Privacy Seal signifying that this Privacy Policy and practices have been
reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance with TRUSTe's
program requirements including transparency, accountability and
choice regarding the collection and use of your personal information. The TRUSTe program does not cover information
that may be collected through downloadable software. TRUSTe's mission, as an independent third
party, is to accelerate online trust among consumers and organizations globally
through its leading privacy trustmark and innovative trust solutions. If you

What Personal Information Does Good360 Gather?
In general, the Personal
Information we gather enables us to provide the Services to you and helps us
learn more about the use of the Site and/or Services. We collect Personal Information that you or
someone else submits to us voluntarily through the Site or the Services, which
may include other methods of communication such as phone calls and our Facebook
page. We may combine this Personal Information with information we obtain from
other sources.
We request information about
your satisfaction with our Services, the products you’ve received and the
specific product needs of your organization. When you communicate with us
through our Site, by calling us or by sending us an email, we may collect and
store any information that is contained in your communications with us. You can choose not to provide us with certain
information, but this may limit the features of the Site or Services you are
able to use.
Please be aware that others
may provide Personal Information to us about you. If you do not wish for us to
collect or hold information about you that you did not provide to us, please
see the section below regarding deleting and changing your information.
Depending on how you use the
Site or Services, we may collect different Personal Information about you. If
you are using this Site on behalf of a charity, we require information
including the EIN and NCES code of your charity to verify its eligibility. To
create an Account for your organization, we require information including your
name, email address, and phone number, as well as the shipping address for your
charity. In the course of using the Services, we may request more Personal
Information about you and your organization to, among other things, receive and
process your orders, including any applicable payment information.
If
you are using the Site on behalf of a company, we will need to collect the
information necessary to process any donation(s) of products. This may include your name, contact
information, and information about your donation, which could identify you or
your company, making it Personal Information.
Regardless of whether you are
an individual, part of a company or a charity, you may sign up for our
newsletter by providing your name, zip code, and email address. You may also
make cash donations to our organization, regardless of your status, in which case
we require your name, contact
information, and other related payment information necessary to process your
cash donation. You should know, however, that we use a third party
service provider to process all monetary donations through the Site, and any donation
payment related information will be governed by their privacy policy.
Right now, we do not allow
individuals or companies to create Accounts or become Members, but we may do so
in the future, in which case we may collect additional Personal Information
necessary to process such tasks.
Does Good360
Collect Other Information About You?
As
you use the Site or Services, certain Anonymous Information may be passively
collected and stored, such as your Internet protocol address, browser type, and
access times. We may also use Cookies
(as defined below) and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs)
to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the
solutions and information for which you searched and viewed. “Cookies” are
small pieces of information that a website sends to your browser while you are
viewing a website. We may use both
session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent
Cookies. You can instruct your browser,
by changing its options, to stop accepting Cookies or to prompt you before
accepting a Cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept Cookies,
however, you may not be able to use all portions or functionalities of the Site
or Services.
How Does Good360
Use This Information?
We use the Personal
Information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests,
resolving disputes, troubleshooting problems, providing you with the Services
and products, improving our Site, retail program, and other Services, collecting
donations, and communicating with you, including for customer service reasons
related to your orders. For example, we use a charity’s EIN and NCES code to
verify that the charity meets our criteria and can qualify for our Services.
Specifically, this Personal Information helps us personalize and analyze the
top needs of our nonprofit network so that we can solicit and offer the product
donations that best meet the needs of our Member charities.
We also use your Personal
Information to market to our products and services (and those of third parties)
to you if we believe they may be of interest to you.
E-mail Communications: Our Services include
newsletters and other communications intended to facilitate use of the Site and
Services. To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive
a confirmation when you open e-mail from Good360 if your computer supports such
capabilities. We allow you to opt-out of certain of our e-mail communications
(e.g., our newsletter) at any time, by emailing us at serviceteam@good360.org,
calling us at 703.299.2121 or clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of
each email. Please note that even if you unsubscribe or opt-out, we may still
send you Site and Service related communications (e.g., emails related to your
billing or donations).
If you wish to no longer receive these notices, you may
deactivate your Account or otherwise request deletion of your Personal
Information, as explained in the section below section titled “How Do I Update
and Control My Information?”
Invitations to Non-Members: You can invite your
friends, favorite charities or companies to join our organization, and we store
the email addresses that are provided to us. Good360 stores this information
for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of
our referral program. We do not sell these email addresses or use them to send
any other communication besides invitations (unless the email address is used
to register or make a donation). We will automatically send your friend a
one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. Recipients of invitations
may email us at serviceteam@good360.org
to request that we opted them out and refrain from sending them future emails
or to have us delete their information by calling (703)823-2121.
Anonymous Information: We may, through
our use of Cookies, keep you logged into our Site and track your session
history. We may also tailor Site content to your interests and personalize your
use of the Site. We may use your Anonymous Information to analyze usage
patterns so that we may enhance the Site or Services, improve our internal
operations, contact you for marketing purposes, and customize the Site or
Services for you.
Does Good360 Share the Information It Receives?
Protection Personal
Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we
are not in the business of selling it to others. Other than as set forth below,
we do not share, trade, rent or sell your Personal Information with others
unless we have your authorization to do so as described below.
Third-Party , Providers: We employ other companies
and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as IT services, powering
chat fuction, web design services and such. They have access to Personal
Information needed to perform their functions, but we contractually prohibit
them from being able to use it for other purposes. We use a third party to
process all monetary donations through the Site, and any donation payment
related information will be governed by their privacy policy .
Protection of Good360 and
Others: We
may release account and other Personal Information when we believe release is
appropriate to: (a) comply with the law such as to comply with a subpoena, or
similar legal process, or to respond to requests from law enforcement or other
government officials relating to investigations or alleged illegal activity;
(b) resolve disputes, investigate problems, or enforce our Terms of Use; or (c)
protect and defend our rights or property or the rights and property of you or
third parties.
With Your Consent: Other than as set out above,
you will receive notice when we disclose Personal Information about you to
third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to authorize us
to disclose the information.
We may disclose Anonymous Information without
restriction.
How Secure Is Information About Me?
We use reasonable efforts to
protect the security of your Personal Information during transmission by using
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. For
example, we reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when
confirming an order. Of course, we (or our payment processor) transmit the entire
credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order
processing. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to
your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a
shared computer. However, no security is perfect.
What About Third-Party Advertisers and Links to Other
Websites?
This Privacy Policy addresses
our use and disclosure of information we collect from and/or about you on the
Site. It is up to you to make sure you
are comfortable with the information you choose to provide us and the
information you choose to publish. Our site includes third-party
advertising and links to other Web sites. We do not provide any personally
identifiable customer effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising
content. When you click on such a link, you will leave our Site and go to
another site, and another entity may collect Personal Information or Anonymous
Information from you. We do not have
access to or control over cookies or other features that they may use, nor do
we review or are we responsible for the information or privacy practices of
these advertisers and third-party Web sites, which are not covered by this
Privacy Notice. Please review the privacy policy of any new site you visit and
contact them directly for more information about their privacy practices.
How Do I Update and Control My Information?
You may update certain parts
of your Personal Information on our Site, including transactional information
and contact information. You may request that we update or delete your Personal Information by calling us at
(703)823-2121, but please note that we may be required (by law or otherwise) to
keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a
certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only
after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete Personal
Information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our
archives and we may also retain Anonymous Information about your use of our
Services. Once we disclose some of your
Personal Information to third parties, we cannot access that Personal
Information any longer and cannot force the deletion or modification of any
such information by the parties to whom we have made those disclosures.
Does Good360 Collect Information About Children?
The Site is not directed to
children and children are not eligible to use our Services. Protecting the privacy of children is very
important to us. We do not collect or
maintain Personal Information from people we actually know are under 18 years
of age, and no part of our Site or Services is designed to attract people under
18 years of age. If we later learn that a user is under 18 years of age, we
will take steps to remove that user's Personal Information from our databases
and to prevent the user from utilizing the Site and the Services.
Data
Retention
We will retain your information for as long as
your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to
cancel your account or request that we
no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at serviceteam@good360.org.
We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal
obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Does Good360 Change This Privacy Policy Ever?
This Privacy Policy is
subject to revision from time to time on a going-forward basis. We will post any revised version of the
Privacy Policy on this page. If we make
any material changes to it, we will also send you notice to the last email
address you have provided to us.
Continued use of our Services following notice of such changes will
indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the
terms and conditions of such changes.
